Copyright and intellectual property relating to the information and data held within the Database rests with the Illawarra Councils, NSW Environmental Trust and others who have agreed to make information available for the purpose of enhancing the public availability and use of valuable biodiversity data. The Nature Conservation Council also claim copyright over the data contained within the original Illawarra Remnant Bushland Database (2000).
